¿Dónde vamos a vivir?

This regional investigation (published by Distintas Latitudes) explores the housing crisis in Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on young people, women, and LGBTI+ communities. It combines data, legal analysis, and stories from across the region to show how difficult it has become to access safe, dignified, and affordable housing.

The project also maps possible responses: public policies, community-led initiatives, housing cooperatives, rental subsidies, and credit programmes. Rather than presenting them as perfect solutions, the investigation examines their achievements, limits, and potential to inspire broader action.

Developed by 45 journalists from 16 countries, the project reviewed 80 legal instruments and nearly 80 housing initiatives across 20 countries. I was part of the Creativity and Multimedia Production Team, contributing to the storytelling and visual production of this collaborative investigation.

The investigation was a finalist at the Inter American Press Association 2024 Excellence in Journalism Awards in the Solutions Journalism category.
